From an artist's point of view, it seems as if Disney has just about conquered the invisible world of melody. Maybe I'm one of the select few who feel this way, but where is the heartbeat in those so called "masterpiece's"?
Did Walt Disney himself write these songs? What if rather than having Elton John and a number of other artists come together to create something epic, one heart could speak through having a clear image of this invisible world? An infinite world of melody... Put yourself in Beethoven's position- If all you could do is feel music with your heart, maybe parents in the year 2250 will be using your "masterpiece's" to help their children fall asleep. Enough said. It is for a good reason though(to eat and pay for baby food).

I've often wondered what the The Beatles' philosophy on songwriting was. Was it to be catchy and sell a bazillion records? Was it to make the music they most wanted to make? It seems they were maybe a bit of both. Either way, they were successful.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5695698641186551995.post-72457472654476912112012-02-14T00:35:05.067-06:002012-02-14T00:35:05.067-06:00Regarding the "sloppy wet kiss" line - ...Regarding the "sloppy wet kiss" line - I agree, entirely. In fact I'm somewhat offended by those who dare to change it, as if sanitizing it will remove it from consciousness. I'll be so bold as to say that I think it's a challenge to those to want things to be safe and tidy and gift-wrapped; life is often awkward and uncomfortable, and we should face that and embrace it without pretense.

Anyway, thanks for sharing!scottreynoldshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06524935217809057726noreply@blogger.com
